Designing the annual report each year was a key highlight during my tenure.

Houston Methodist Nursing Annual Report

An annual report of nursing statistics and achievements of the past year. This 40+ page book is produced each year and is used by management when applying for certifications as well as for recruitment.

Houston Methodist Nurse Magazine

An internal quarterly magazine distributed to all nurses across the Houston Methodist System.

Initiated a redesign of magazine starting with the Winter 2017 issue and designed the following two issues. The Winter 2017 issue received an Honorable Mention from the American InHouse Graphic Design Awards and a Gold Award from the Marcom Awards.

Houston Methodist Pelvic Floor Infographic

An downloadable infographic developed as part of a marketing initiative to bring more awareness to women’s pelvic health issues.

This infographic received an Honorable Mention from American Inhouse Design Awards in May 2017.

Houston Methodist Breast Cancer Advertorial | Oct. 2017
A joint marketing effort of the Houston Methodist Breast Care Centers and the Houston Methodist Cancer Center. This advertorial was featured in Houston CityBook Magazine in the September 2017 issue (pgs 58-61). The advertorial is comprised of health articles, an infographic and a patient survivor story.

Houston Methodist Mammography Advertising Campaign | Q2 2018

Mammography campaign focused on education and brand building. Design elements of the campaign included an animated video developed in collaboration with in-house videographer, along with print and digital advertisements.

Houston Methodist Mammography Advertising Campaign | Q3 2018

Building upon the story started in Q2, we leveraged the illustrations from our animated video to develop a landing page as the primary component for the Q3 advertising campaign. We also refreshed the print and digital advertisements with a new layout and imagery.

Type Speciman

This open-source typeface was released by the Cooper Hewitt Museum in 2014. This book highlights the numerous weights that make up the typeface while paying homage to the type’s museum roots. Bright colors signify the typefaces contemporary aspect while alluding to the increasingly thicker strokes of the type with a graduation of color.

An instructional poster that walks an at-home crafter through the steps of using a small home letterpress machine.

Collateral

Introducing SALONTROSE, a full-service hair salon in the vibrant Houston neighborhood of Montrose. Bright watermelon red and geometric forms create an engaging collateral package that appeals to a wide audience. The collateral package developed for SALONTROSE goes beyond the standard business card and T-shirt applications. The salon is in a historic and artistic neighborhood full of coffee houses, street art, and community spaces.

PUBLICATION

This 40 page publication covers the history and intriguing facts of America’s (2nd) favorite condiment. Based on the proportions of a typical ketchup packet, this oversized book uses photography and illustration to maintain the viewer’s interest while delivering large amounts of information. The pairing of Helvetica and Baskerville typefaces, modern and traditional, directly relate to ketchup’s 200 year history. Like type, ketchup has evolved and been refined to suit current tastes.
